Choosing a qualified and accredited counsellor, like Amanda, who is registered with a professionally recognised association (like the BACP), it is the greatest protection for you in choosing who you work with.

Counselling and Psychotherapy are currently not a regulated profession. The government and the key professional bodies working in this area have been trying for some time to find a way to make regulation work. If you do wish to find out more about this you can contact www.bacp.co.uk.
